Communicating the transition of HMRC to GOV.UK

In the past few months we've made great progress with transitioning content from HMRC and 300+ agency websites to GOV.UK. So far we've managed these transitions in two separate teams but we realised over time that we had much to learn from each other. At the end of March we therefore joined the two teams into one transition team for GOV.UK.

This one-team approach to transition within GOV.UK will make it easier for us to prioritise the content delivery and product development across agencies and the large, complex transition of HMRC.

This also affects how we communicate with people who use these websites and government employees who work on these transitions.

HMRC will use their working with tax agents blog to keep tax specialists updated.

Government Digital Service (GDS) will use the Inside GOV.UK blog to write about developing and iterating GOV.UK and will keep their colleagues in government updated on the progress of transition via the Transition to GOV.UK blog.

We think this will make it much easier to find the information that's relevant to you.

If you want to be involved with user research or have any questions about the ongoing transition of HMRC's website please contact the new Transition Manager, Till Wirth (till.wirth@digital.cabinet-office.gov.uk).

This blog will be archived in the next couple of weeks.
